Errors and Omissions (E&O) insurance protects filmmakers and distributors from lawsuits arising from claims of copyright infringement, unauthorized use of real people's likenesses, defamation, or other intellectual property issues. Most distributors and broadcasters require a minimum of $1M per occurrence / $3M aggregate coverage before releasing a film.
